A veteran of the San Diego music scene since the 1980s, Scott was guitarist, lead vocalist, and primary songwriter for the progressive metal band Catharsis, earning critical acclaim in both the United States and Europe. He later earned a Master’s degree in Music Composition from San Diego State University, refining his gift for arrangement and harmony while maintaining his instinctive, expressive playing style.
Scott also co-founded the Slayen & Fox Guitar Duo, where he explored the warmth, complexity, and rhythmic sophistication of Latin Jazz and Flamenco—musical influences that continue to inform his artistry today.
