Ray Jefferson – Bassist

Ray Jefferson brings depth, groove, and a powerful intuitive feel to every note he plays. As the bassist for Fatale, Ray locks in with drummer George Dowden to form a dynamic rhythm section that fuses melody and pulse with precision and musical chemistry. Known for his creative energy and his ability to sense where the music wants to go, Ray shapes each performance with instinct, expression, and purpose.

A seasoned performer from the Washington, DC music scene, Ray has played extensively with the power trio Raven, featuring Nashville artist Glenn Kuykendall, and has shared the stage with rock legends Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow. His recording credits span genres and include work with folk artist Peggy Watson, Raven, and the original blues-rock project Wolftrane.

Versatile and adaptive, Ray’s bass work moves effortlessly between Motown, funk, rock, jazz, and blues — from deep-pocket groove to progressive drive. His musical sensitivity, rhythmic command, and expressive style make him an essential creative voice in Fatale’s rich, symphonic rock sound.
